Thank you for reaching out to gain more information on the various types of MICROLINKS Installations we have to offer. Before we start, here is some basic information about me. I’m located in Miami and my name is Yaya.
What are Microlinks?
Microlinks are a type of hair extensions in which the extension is secured to the strands of hair using a small, silicone lined bead. This luxurious hair extension installation can last 10 – 12 weeks, depending on proper care and maintenance. Microlinks are appropriate for all hair textures with client’s who have a hair length of at least 3-5 inches (shoulder length). It is ideal that both client’s hair texture matches the extensions texture for a flawless installation.
What are Tape-Ins?
Tape-Ins are the new innovated extensions. They are the perfect way to add luxurious volume and length to your natural hair without damage. It is a painless, non-damaging, and highly versatile. The extensions are 1-1.5” of sections go hair that are pre-taped using adhesive weft tape to your hair that are lightweight and breathable without pulling at your natural hair strains. This luxurious hair extension installation can last 8-10 weeks, depending on proper care and hair maintenance. Tape-Ins are appropriate for all hair textures with client’s who have a hair length of at least 3-5 inches (shoulder length). It is ideal that both client’s hair texture matches the extensions texture for a flawless installation.
Tape-In Installation – perfect for clients with thin to medium hair. The installation is done with no braids and is tension free. Using adhesive weft, the hair strains are “sandwich” between two 1-1.5” pieces of hair extensions, causing little to no tension on the natural strains of the client’s hair. It uses specialized tape-in extensions and requires at least 80- 100 tape-ins for a full install. This technique last up to 2 months with proper care and tightening required every 4-6 weeks. This installation takes about 2-3 hours.

Microlinks Installation Methods—
We are offering 3 Microlinks Installation Techniques (Double Wefted, & iTips) at this time that is available for all your needs, hair types, and lifestyle. It is important to know ALL TECHNIQUES are for perfect adding more fullness and length with versatility in styling options ranging from flat wraps parting down the middle or sides to rocking high buns/ponytails.
•Double Wefted Microlinks Technique (THE MOST COMMON) – perfect for clients with thin, medium to thick hair. The installation is done with no braids, cotton weaving thread, curved needle, and is tension free. This installation is done using thread causing little to no tension on the client’s natural hair. It uses wefted bundled hair. This technique last up to 3 months with proper care and tightening required every 4-6 weeks. This installation takes about 1-2 hours.
•i-Tips Microlinks Technique – perfect for clients with medium to thick hair. The installation is done with no braids and is tension free. This installation is done by using the microbead to attach the i-Tip strain of hair to the client’s strands of hair. It uses i-Tips extensions and microbeads only, NO THREAD. This technique last up to 2 months with proper care and tightening required every 4-6 weeks. It should be noted, i-Tips tightening can only be completed on naturally straight hair! This installation takes about 2-3 hours.
Prior to Installation –
Before coming for your installation, it is important that you get a fresh wash and silk press no oil. Please do not apply any types of oils to your hair to avoid hair weighing down and overall compromising the outcome of your installation. If you are natural and will be installing hair extensions that are curly to match your hair in its natural state, please come with your hair freshly washed, detangled, sectioned into 6 big twist, and no products applied to your hair.
Installation Time & Duration-
Installation time varies between 45 minutes to 1-2 hours, depending on which installation technique chosen and the number of bundles being installed.
Pricing-
•Double Weft -- $350 for up to 3 bundles installed. If you are installing 3 rows or less it is $50 per row. Installation of just 3 rows requires approval before booking. Hair is NOT included. $25 deposit required for booking appointment. THE MOST COMMON
•Tape-Ins -- $450 for 100 tape-ins, hair is NOT included. $50 deposit required for booking appointment.
•i-Tips -- $700 for up to 200 tips installed. Hair is NOT included. $50 deposit required for booking appointment.
•Removal of Microlinks is $50 (Double Wefted) Installs. i-Tips removal is $75.
•Tape-Ins -- $450 for 80- 100 tape-ins, hair is NOT included. $25 deposit required for booking appointment.
•Removal of Tape-ins $75, cleaning of extensions and tape replacement $100 per bundle.
Appointments-
To book an appointment for your Microlinks or Tape Extensions installation a $25 deposit is required that will go towards your balance. This can be paid through Zelle, Cash App of PayPal online invoices that I will send out to you through text messages or email. Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred. My hours of operation Monday through Friday (Morning and some Evenings & Saturday Mornings)
Extensions Purchasing-
For purchasing extensions contact me by TEXT at 786-333-3125. We have great hair that's soft, full, and doesn't shed. This hair can also be colored & can be used numerous times with proper extension care. Let Shannon know Yaya referred you for coloring of bundles.
Bundles (except Tape Extensions pricing ) can be purchased in person, prior to appointment, PayPal invoice, cash app, cash, Zelle, Apple Pay or on the website (https://tressesorganic.co/collections/tresses-hair-collection). You can provide your own bundles as well, following the guidelines above.
Also, if you are natural, I highly recommend installing kinky straight hair or straight hair, This hair mimics natural hair when straighten. Perfect to ensuring a flawless blend.
For my curly hair girls, it is extremely important that your curl pattern and texture matches the curl pattern and texture of the bundles. Here are some potential vendors to purchase from.
Providing Your Own Bundles?
For extensions I prefer Brazilian, Indian, Peruvian, etc. this type of hair that can be washed & styled like natural hair. The longer the extensions the more rows and bundles that will be needed. Anything past 18" will require 3bundles of hair.
**Disclaimer** please do not purchase store bought hair or any bundles that have gold or silver ribbons wrapped around the bundles. This is not good hair and will be too thin for this luxurious installment.
Coloring Extensions-
I provide the service of Custom Color Extensions. Hair must be colored prior to installation. I will need 2-3 days to color, treat, and dry the extensions prior to your appointment. Which is provided by Shannon for coloring.
Microlinks Maintenance--
You MUST come in every 4-6 weeks for tightening of your Microlinks. You CANNOT perm your hair with Microlinks Installation, however it can be washed, treated, and wrapped).
Now that you have read over thing, here is some additional information I will need to ensure you are receiving the luxurious installation you are looking for:
